As you all know by now (or should know), NMoH is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization. As such, its financial books are subject to public inspection anytime. This is true for all US 501c3 organizations. For most organizations of this nature, one would have to go through the IRS to inspect a non-profit’s financials. At NMoH, however, we want to make it abundantly clear to all of our supporters that every cent donated and/or earned is professionally accounted for and goes toward a specified NMoH initiative. Integrity, honesty, and good business ethics are all core values here at NMoH. As such, we go above and beyond the industry standard when it comes to our financial transparency. We want each and every single donor-whether the donation is $ 1 or $100,000-to rest assured that their contribution is being used properly and being professionally managed.
Below you can view a synopsis of exactly what our monetary contributions are used for. For more detailed financial statements or to obtain a copy of the NMoH IRS p990 form, please contact the NMoH FInance Department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As mentioned within the DAD Campaign overview, DAD is much more of a “movement” and a “cultural unification project” than is a fundraiser. However, with the huge legion of worldwide citizens of Hip-Hop Culture, there will undoubtedly be a large influx of funds as a result of all the dollars NMoH receives via the campaign. The following is a breakdown of the use of funds from DAD Campaign contributions:
13%-Finding/securing a physical location
21%-Juvenile Delinquency Program
7%-Middle School Essay Challenge
22%-RU Hip-Hop Campaign
The NMoH Capital Campaign deals with institutional contributors such as foundations, corporations, and large individual donors. Contributions from this sort of campaign tend to involve a low volume of donations and much larger amounts per donation.
7%-Marketing & Sales
The NMoH Naming Opportunity Campaign is geared toward high-end individual donors and major Corporate sponsors only. There are not many naming opportunities available so this is an extremely exclusive donor “club”.
